El juny de 2022, el govern espanyol va anunciar a Brussel·les el Sandbox de regulació d’IA espanyol. Un Sandbox regulador és un mecanisme utilitzat pels òrgans de govern per adaptar la regulació a un entorn ràpidament variable. Això s’aconsegueix definint, per a un espai i un temps específics, un camp de proves on certes parts del marc regulador (una sèrie de lleis o normes) es poden relaxar o abandonar.
