D’acord amb Klaus Schwab, fundador i president executiu del Fòrum Econòmic Mundial, i davant la convergència de múltiples tecnologies disruptives com és el cas de la IA, estem a l'inici d'una revolució que està canviant fonamentalment la manera de viure, treballar i relacionar-nos.
Com afectaran la forma de treballar les tecnologies basades en IA, en especial la IA generativa? El Digital Talent Overview de 2023 tracta de forma específica l’impacte de la IA generativa al món laboral. D’acord amb l’article es destaca especialment l'aparició del nou rol de Prompt Engineer, que es considera que serà clau per garantir un ús òptim, eficient i eficaç de les noves eines de IA generativa d'acord amb les necessitats de les organitzacions. Esdevenint aquest rol com aquella persona especialitzada o amb capacitat per identificar la millor pregunta a realitzar en tot moment per obtenir la resposta i resultat adequat amb el menor temps i cost possible.
Finalment, i de manera complementària al rol de prompt engineer, es destaca també la necessitat d'altres professions, tals com consultors de IA, especialistes en ciberseguretat, auditors de IA, i especialistes en aspectes ètics i reguladors, entre altres.
